Mexican tycoon overtakes Bill Gates as world's richest man

I almost missed this in all the excitement of the Fourth of July holiday. According to this item I found on Drudge, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. But here’s the shocker: Guess who is?

A Mexican.

Well, after all the lip service from President Bush about how illegal immigrants were “only taking the jobs that Americans won’t do,” this should serve as a wake up call. I mean, I don’t know about you, but being the richest man in the world is certainly a job that I, as an American, was certainly willing to do.

But I guess now I’ll never have the chance because a non-American came along and was willing to do the job for less money.
