False Alarm: Hairless Coyote Turns out Not to be the Legendary Chupacabra

Fans of the legendary Chupacabra had reason for excitement last summer when one of the little goat-suckers was reportedly captured and killed in the south Texas town of Cuero.

Now the Associated Press is reporting that DNA tests prove the animal was just a coyote.

This is a blow, to be sure. But it does not change the fact that the Chupacabra is still out there, somewhere. Possibly in my attic, chewing through the wires.

Courage! Stay Vigilant!
