So what is the most futuristic money out there today? One word: the QUID.

"QUID" stands for "Quasi Universal Intergalactic Denomination." That's right. We're talking space money here. What could be more forward looking than that?
These coins have been created for the express purpose of making payments in the vacuum of space. They have no sharp edges, which could be dangerous if left floating around in zero-gravity, and they have no magnetic strips, which would be erased by cosmic radiation
One QUID equals $12.50, 6.25 Pounds, or 8.68 Euros.
Convert your cash into QUIDs today and be ready early for mankind's first trip to Mars, scheduled for launch in only thirty short years!

There is nothing like returning home in a ship full of floating Quid!
I think it is forward thinking of the developer of QUIDs to realize that not all space traveling traders from around the galaxy would have somewhere to put sharp objects . . . . like a small purse, onboard safe, or perhaps a drawer. Although interstellar travel was mere child's play to achieve, the concept of a pocket still eludes many species across our known universe.
One question . . . what is QUID backed by? Do we assume the aliens share our accepted system of inflation and mutual understanding of perceived value?
I say we back the QUID with cow flesh. Don't know why, but the only Aliens that ever seem to come here really like that stuff.
